Retraction Policy

Retraction Policy

The Al-Zaytoonah University Journal of Business (ZJJB) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. In cases where published articles are found to contain significant errors or ethical violations, the journal follows a clear and transparent retraction policy in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Grounds for Retraction

An article may be retracted under the following circumstances:

  • Evidence of plagiarism or redundant publication
  • Data fabrication or falsification
  • Serious methodological errors that invalidate the findings
  • Unethical research practices
  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest

Retraction Process

The retraction process involves a thorough investigation by the editorial team. Authors will be contacted and given an opportunity to respond to the concerns raised.

  • The editorial board reviews all available evidence.
  • A decision is made based on ethical standards and academic integrity.
  • Authors are informed of the final decision.

Retraction Notice

A formal retraction notice will be published and linked to the original article. The notice will clearly state the reason for retraction to ensure transparency.

Article Status

Retracted articles will remain accessible on the journal website but will be clearly marked as “Retracted” to maintain the scholarly record.

Corrections and Errata

Minor errors that do not affect the overall findings of the article may be corrected through errata or corrigenda instead of full retraction.

Ethical Compliance

The journal follows COPE guidelines when handling retractions, corrections, and ethical concerns to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability.

Commitment to Integrity

ZJJB is committed to upholding the highest standards of research integrity and will take appropriate action to address any form of publication misconduct.

Note: The journal may also issue expressions of concern when an investigation is ongoing.
