Author Guidelines

The Al-Zaytoonah University Journal of Business (ZJJB) welcomes high-quality, original research contributions that advance knowledge in business, finance, and management disciplines. Authors are expected to adhere to the following guidelines when preparing and submitting their manuscripts.

1. Types of Manuscripts

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Case Studies
  • Conceptual Papers

2. Submission Requirements

  • The manuscript must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • All submissions must be written in clear, concise, and professional English.
  • Authors must ensure proper citation and referencing of all sources.
  • The manuscript must comply with the journal’s formatting and structure requirements.

3. Manuscript Structure

  • Title Page: Title, author names, affiliations, and corresponding author email.
  • Abstract: 150–250 words summarizing objectives, methodology, and key findings.
  • Keywords: 3–6 keywords.
  • Introduction: Background, problem statement, and objectives.
  • Literature Review: Relevant theoretical and empirical studies.
  • Methodology: Research design, data, and methods.
  • Results and Discussion: Findings and interpretation.
  • Conclusion: Summary, implications, and recommendations.
  • References: All cited sources.

4. Formatting Guidelines

  • Font: Times New Roman, Size 12
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx)
  • Maximum length: 6000–8000 words (including references)

5. Referencing Style

The journal follows the APA referencing style (latest edition). All in-text citations and references must be consistent and properly formatted.

6. Ethical Considerations

  • Authors must ensure the originality of their work.
  • Plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification are strictly prohibited.
  • All authors must have significantly contributed to the research.
  • Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

7. Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools prior to peer review. Manuscripts with high similarity may be rejected or returned for revision.

8. Double-Blind Review Requirement

  • Authors must remove names, affiliations, and identifying information from the manuscript file.
  • A separate title page containing author details must be uploaded.

9. Manuscript Template

Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts using the official journal template.

11. Review Process

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two independent reviewers. The review process typically takes 6–8 weeks.

12. Submission Checklist

  • The manuscript follows the journal template.
  • All references are correctly cited using APA style.
  • The manuscript is free from plagiarism.
  • The file is submitted in Word format.
  • Author details are removed for blind review.
  • The abstract and keywords are included.

13. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work. All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license.
